Day 01: Marrakech-High Atlas mountains-Ait Benhaddou Kasbah –Ouarzazate City -Skoura Palm

On this Marrakech desert trip experience, our 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Erg
Chebbi begins promptly at 08:30 am from Marrakesh to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the ‘Door of the South. After, we go through the High Atlas Mountains by Tizin-Tichka pass (2260m height), which has beautiful scenery and some Berber villages along the way. Earlier on, we shall make a stopover at the most famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which is a World Heritage site and famous for being used in famous international movies.

We go on to Ouarzazate to visit the kasbah of Taourirt, a monumental construction that is an
important link to Moroccan history. Driving through major parts of the Skoura Oasis, which is
characterised by Kasbahs elaborately surrounded by palm trees, we spend our first night sleeping
peacefully in this oasis.

Day 2: Skoura Oasis-Valley of Roses-Dades Valley-Tinghir-Todra Valley-Todra Gorges-Merzouga

For the second day of our 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Erg Chebbi, in the morning, after taking breakfast in a nice terrace with a spectacular view of the oasis, we will be going for a scenic tour, where first we will be visiting the Valley of the Roses, where we will be able to view cosmetics prepared from the rose valley. And we keep going on; our next destination is Merzouga. On the way, we will join the Dades Valley and even visit the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. We will also make a stopover at Tinghir to enjoy the palm tree groves and have a nice walk in Todra Gorges.

On our way, we pass through Erfoud, Tafilalte Zone and later move to our campsite at Erg Chaabi
Merzouga. Subsequently, after the break, we will take 1 hour camel riding to the camp to see the
beautiful sunset over the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Night will be spent in a conventional nomadic tent with the spectacular view of the Sahara desert at night, with the stars twinkling at night, and with the rising of the moon. Day 3: Merzouga-Rissani-Alnif-Draa valley-Agdez-Tamnougalt

Then, after the sunrise view, we start our 1 one and a half hour camel rides back to Merzouga. After
breakfast, the driving continues to Marrakech following the road passing through Rissani, which is the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty that has been in power in Morocco. Next, we go through a stony
wasteland and get through Berber settlements such as Alnif before arriving at the Draa Valley; it is the largest valley in Morocco.

Next, we step on the gas and get to Agdez, which is famous for the palms as Morocco’s largest palm
grove and nice typical villages and small Kasbahs. Here, you will get the chance for a nice 2-hour walk, starting from the palm grove, traversing through the interior palm grove, interacting with the local
farmers and visiting the village of Tamnougalt. This segment of the Sahara Desert trip from Marrakech has the main goal to show us the locals' way of life, and then back to the Kasbah for a distinctive night in the middle of the Valley.

Day 4: Agdz-Ait Saoun Mountains, Ouarzazate-High Atlas Mountains -Marrakech

For the last day of your 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Erg Chebbi, after a good
breakfast, we continue the trip by an Atlas mountains day trip from Marrakech, again crossing
through the splendid Ait Saoun Rocky mountains via the Tizi n’Tnifift pass. It's appreciated for its charming views of rocks and cliffs, as well as of Berber villages located on the hillsides.

Onwards to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the door to the Sahara, we begin our lunch break. There, you could decide to eat at the restaurant that provides beautiful Moroccan dishes, or decide to adopt the Moroccan way, join a Berber family, eat what they cook and feel the Moroccan hospitality.

After a lunch break, we embark on a backward trip to Marrakech, passing through those spectacular High Atlas Mountains. The trip back is also characterised by multiple stops, which grant a view of the beautiful variation of the desert and valley, and the palm groves within the latter.
